AA speaker Chris R. shares about step 1 and lack of power being the delimma of the alcoholic. Great stuff in this tape! From the book Alcoholics Anonymous: “In spite of the great increase in the size and span of this Fellowship, at its core it remains simple and personal. Each day, somewhere in the world, recovery begins when one alcoholic talks with another alcoholic, sharing experience, strength, and hope.”

Awesome
I used to feel uncomfortable in the AA rooms because I couldn’t relate to
the war stories and drama. I felt inadequate, different with no message to
carry. So sad… out of thousands of meetings I’ve gone, I did not learn
what alcoholism is. I studied the big book on my own but still didn’t get
“It” nor did I really understand alcoholism. I wanted the 4th dimension
experience the Big Book talks about and I wasn’t getting it. Finally I
found a person, who doesn’t even live in my state, that took me through the
Big Book over skype. That changed my life, gave me a profound contact with
God and I am definitely rockin in the 4th dimension now. What a wild
ride!!!
This is so true. I live in Ireland and the majority or members in the
fellowship are the “put down the drink, come to your meetings and get on
your knees and you’ll be fine” type or alcoholic and people who follow the
steps or talk about them are looked down on. I dont know how many times
I’ve been in a room and talked about working a program and feel people grit
their teeth. People die because of this attitude or worse end up on
prescriptions wondering why nothings getting better for years. Thank you
for the upload great to hear
Probably one of my favorite speakers. Says everything that needs to be said
that no one has the balls to say. God I love it.
Here’s a dynamite speaker Chris R from Texas! He gives a great talk about
step 1 here. #Stepone #Powerless

HI IS A ROCK STAR
I freaking HATED him ranting and raving the first few days of rehab. I had
to listen to him daily there. By the 3rd or 4th day my mind began to have
enough clarity to actually HEAR what he was saying… It broke me.
Saved my life learning these truths. Thank you Chris!
