Why do Facebook Support Groups Suck and What is a GOOD Support System? This is a bit of a Facebook rant video, but as always, I provide you with the solutions.
When you’re in early sobriety, it’s important you find a good support group. This can be through Alcoholics Anonymous or Narcotics Anonymous, but many people in 2017 turn to Facebook groups. I’m personally part of many addiction recovery support groups.
For the most part, there are about alternatives to Alcoholics Anonymous, people asking “Are you clean on Suboxone”, people saying addiction is not a disease vs. people who say addiction is a disease and much more. These are interesting conversations, but people don’t realize how they enable people who relapse.
I made this video to help you understand what to do after a drug relapse because the opioid epidemic is killing people every day. With the opioid crisis as bad as it is, people need to start asking, “Am I an enabler to a drug addict?”
