The Alcoholics Anonymous 12 Steps have helped millions of people since the 1930s, but they have a set of traditions as well. The traditions are meant to protect the program, but did Russell Brand break one of the traditions with his new book Recovery?
Recovery by Russell Brand is an incredible book for anyone who is suffering and is looking for a better way of living. This book is especially helpful for anyone in early sobriety as well as anyone struggling with mental health issues or mental illness.
He dives into the 12 steps and also dives into the Alcoholics Anonymous cult idea. The AA cult misconception keeps many people away from the program, and Russell Brand does an amazing job addressing this and many other misconceptions in Recovery: Freedom from Our Addictions.
